The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper. — W.B. Yeats

We all travel, either for work or for leisure. For some, this is a hobby and for some necessity or need. But travelling does a lot to shape our personality and affects the personal growth of a person.

A person who travels tends to meet new people whether he likes or not, in some or the other way and unknowingly breaks the barriers and opens up to people developing an openness trait.

When we travel considering it a vacation, we actually try to destress our mind and take a break from our daily routine. We try to relax our mind and body giving it a break from the regular routine and once we are back we perform better in our work and relationships as we approach things with refreshed attitude and clearer and decluttered mind.

We think when we on a vacation we are relaxing our mind and body but in reality, when we travel or commute to different places we tend to exhibit a sedentary lifestyle. Once we reach the destination, we exert our body more than we do on normal days, like taking a walk through the streets, visiting different places, do shopping, hiking, some adventure trips and all. During all this process while we have a change of place and at times weather as well which in turn causes our bodies to create stronger antibodies which boost our immune system. So while travelling, we are exposed to more germs and dirt which is necessary to keep our gut more grounded.

Also, the excitement that we have when we plan trip activities which are thinking of doing — be it meeting old friends or family -all pump up the energy in us and uplifts the mood there helping us feel better and joyous.

Travelling boosts our confidence as we tend to manage a lot especially if we are on a solo trip. We tend to meet more new people when we are on a solo trip as we all need company one or the other way since we are so-called social animals.

When we travel we get to understand the diverse culture and cuisine broadening our horizons. We get to know what could be better at other places, how people think or have an approach of living at other places and maybe we could opt out a few things from there culture and refine ourselves for a better living. this way we help each other grow better.

So whenever time, health, and wealth allow, we should all travel a few places.
